Preschool Program
(Age 3 by September 1, 2010)
Our preschoolers make new friends, learn to work together cooperatively, and learn to share and take turns. They learn colors, shapes and become familiar with letters and the printed word. We strive to make this an excellent first educational experience for your child.

Pre-K Program
(Age 4 by September 1, 2010)
This class will cover more skills and curriculum areas. We will have a Letter of the Week, where the children will learn each letter, the correct way to form it and the beginning letter sounds. They do weekly journals from September through May and portfolios of their work are kept throughout the year. In this way, we can track their progress and you can see the development over the course of the year (two years in most cases). We will introduce the Weekly Reader Pre-K into our curriculum. Themes of the week will continue in more depth and there will be lots of language/literacy, science and math areas explored. We use Creative Curriculum in our program. This is a comprehensive curriculum and assessment system approved by the MA Dept. of Early Education and Care (EEC) and the National Academy for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Some parents have expressed an interest in adding a fourth Pre-K morning. This option is being considered. As with anything, the budget, staffing, number of families interested, and the extra cost to parents has to be factored in. Let us know if this is something you might be interested in for your Pre-K child. A final decision will be made by August.
